Relaxing afternoon

Nice beach in a natural cave. There is a restaurant, not tasted. lounge music under umbrellas and comfortable sunbeds for a right price. We appreciate this location. You can enjoy sunset!

Good food by the beach

Usually the restaurants by the beaches are always tourist traps but we actually had really good food in this one. The salads are amazing and such classy presentations for a cafe by the beach. Of course don't forget that you overlook a gorgeous blue sea!

Akro at Black Beach - Best seaside experience in Santorini!!!

The Akro restaurant at Black Beach was one of the highlights of our Greek getaway. Taking the boat from Red Beach, we sailed past White Beach on to Black Beach. We grabbed a couple chaise lounges shaded by a reed umbrella for 10 euros, and settled in for sun and surf. Being it was a weekday, it was blissfully quiet, with great soft rock music playing in the background. The waitstaff, especially Sergi, were wonderfully attentive and polite. The food was great and the portions were huge! The prices aren't cheap, but it was well worth it for the experience.

Beach, lunch or dinner

Either for lunch or for diner, or if you just want to chill out at the beach, this place is very cosy, in a "lounge" atmosphere. This place is the best looking in the area of Akrotiri. We ate our delicious diner at the sound of wave! Plus the owner is very nice and take the time to talk to you about everything. The access is via a dirt road. We accessed the place with a scooter without any problem.

We found it accidentally! And it was the best mistake we ever did! The place was spectacular, the food was superb and the personnel who assist as (a tall guy) was excellent! All in all a perfect choice to spend several days!

The best beach bar in Santorini!

Do you want to have the best swimming experience in Santorini? Then you definitely should go here! Great music, great food, great see, delicious cocktails and amazing personnel! The place is fabulous! Although the road to reach Akro is a bit difficult, it worths the try!

Great hidden gem

Had great food here in a relaxed environment by the beach, great place to come and spend an afternoon. Good service as well.

Want to swim, eat and relax in style??

A little jewel, tucked at the end of an off road track but also can be reached by water taxi. Do not miss this oasis of beauty. The owners Xarris and Leftertis have created a stunning bar and restaurant carved out of the rock that offers more than you would expect to find from a beach bar. Cool music that rolls over the beach and through the bar. The food is truly delicious, either in the restaurant or served at the comfortable beach beds. Cocktails to die for. And massages in the cave from the amazing Costas. As if this isn't enough to tempt you, it's the team that make this place so special and memorable. Go once and I promise you will have to go again and again and again.

The best beach in Santorini

We have been visiting Santorini for 10 days and among all the beaches "akro" was the most beautiful one. Location is fantastic the beach is well organized and personnel very professional and friendly. We absolutely recommend it for a perfect day by the sea. Last but not least the restaurant offers the best food selection in the whole island!!!

Hidden Utopia!

Hands down best experience on the island so far! Amazing food and cocktails, generous hosts, with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere from morning until sunset. For such exclusivity the value for money is overwhelming. The only travesty is that more people don't yet know about this hidden gem...

PERFECTION from the beginning till the end !

Everything started with a phone call... A very good friend of mine was so excited that found " AKRO " while exploring the island being at Santorini for a wedding that I had to check it out myself since he was screaming on the phone saying "Man, you've got to see this place, it has everything" In 30 minutes I was there... First impression ? Great scenery !!! A fantastic combination of Black ( the beach ) and White ( the beach bar-restaurant ) is the definition of summer holidays. And in 10 seconds we found ourselves relaxing on very comfortable lounge chairs protected from the sun with beach umbrellas. The sea water is amazing there !!! After numerous hours of swimming and sun tanning on the lounge chairs we felt hungry enough to try the restaurant ...  

Amazing Akro – Stunning

Spent three days here on a week long trip and simply fell in love with this place. Everything is superb.........the location is just amazing, almost hidden from the main public in a cave setting with white chalk dazzling cliff drops making you go WOW.......the staff are wonderful and really look after you but in a relaxed manner. The food is brilliant and just want you want from a beach bar - they do not do pizza's! that was great!! they are better than the typical touristy beach bars. and the place itself is amazing on split levels.......with a very romantic cave like restaurant with a gorgeous sea view. This is the only place to go in Santorini.....no doubt. Go enjoy!

VIP experience

We found Akro by accident while driving back from Red Beach to Fira and it turns out we had our best beach / food experience while staying in Santorini. We were greeted by Harris, a very nice guy who accomodate us in one of their comfy chairs where we had a portion of grilled octopus and a homemade burger. Both were very tasty and price was cheaper than in any average restaurant in Fira. The location is stunning on an almost private small beach, perfect for couples. Chairs are new and comfortable. Bathrooms are very clean and like new.

Idilic hide away

Bit of a find down a dirt track but perfect location hidden away in the cove. Nice chilled atmosphere, good music, food, drinks and friendly staff. We spent most the day there very chilled out sat listening to the ocean didn't. Seems to be away from the cruise coaches which is good. We went early in the season so not sure what it would be like high season. But well worth rooting out if your out in the hire car for the day.

Best beach structure in Santorini

Nice beach, protected from the strong winds, a cave to visit just a few meters from the shore. Excellent structure and cuisine. Safety boxes under the umbrellas and good service.
